There are over 80 kilometres of skiing tracks at Koli. Finland's longest continuous illuminated skiing track starts from Koli Freetime in Kopravaara and goes all of 25 kilometres to Loma-Koli. Lake Pielinen is the fourth largest in Finland and Europe's longest official inland water ice road goes across it. The ice road is about 7 kilometres long and is opened in mid-January on the average and closed in late March. A tour skating track is cleared alongside the ice road. You can rent tour skates e.g. at the Koli Safari House.
In wintertime a holiday cottage makes the perfect base for downhill and cross-country skiing. We have almost 200 holiday cottages and apartments. Half of them are situated in Koli area. So, there are plenty of cottages to choose from!
